Scanning Media

This tutorial is intended to show you the basics on how to scan your media into Jukebox Jockey. You may want to also check out the tutorial on Media Import Methods.

1. Open Jukebox Jockey.
2. Choose the settings button located on the top bar of the software (screw driver and hammer).
3. If prompted for a password, enter the administrator password (default is "a").
4. Go to Media>Media folder configurations.
5. Select "Music".
6. Choose "Add Folder" to add a media folder to the music collection.
7. Add the root folder of the music folder you wish to scan. (JJ will automatically recourse sub-directories)
8. Choose "Scan All".

All the media located in that folder will be scanned into the software. Note that once you exit the settings, you will have to change the mode to "music" in order to view the media found in the music collection.
