ReplayGain Support
Jukebox Jockey supports ReplayGain technology which will use a special algorithm to keep the volume levels even and consistent between all of your media files.
Your Media Tags Must Contain ReplayGain Values
Jukebox Jockey does NOT perform the ReplayGain algorithm on your files to determine their ReplayGain values. It does however read the ReplayGain values from your media file's tags and will utilize the "TrackGain" value to adjust the audio levels up or down during playback. You can turn this feature on or off from inside Jukebox Jockey settings.
How to Add ReplayGain Values to your Tags
There are numerous methods for adding ReplayGain values to your tags. If you search the internet there are various utilities and software that will perform the ReplayGain algorithms and write the values to your tags. One application that you may wish to try is FooBar. Foobar contains a plugin for scanning in ReplayGain values into tracks. In short, select your tracks, right click, and choose ReplayGain > Scan per-file track gain.
